ABP Survey: SP family feud benefits BJP the most

Lucknow: The recent bickering within the Samajwadi Party has dented the prospects of the ruling dispensation in the coming Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, a latest survey conducted by a leading news channel predicts. The ABP survey brings an encouraging finding for the saffron party as it says the Bharatiya Janata Party would be benefited the most, followed by Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress in the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, due to the recent power struggle in the Yadav clan.

Survey conducted by ABP News and Csiro was aimed at extracting the fresh mood of the voters after a long tussle amid the Samajwadi Pariwar (family).

Survey results revealed that 39 per cent people favoured BJP as the party to remain on the top in the upcoming state assembly elections, followed by BSP with 29 per cent voters support and Congress getting just six per cent support from people. The ruling SP remains on the third spot as far as the preference of electorate is concerned.

Favourite Chief Minister:

  • The fresh survey by ABP news and Csiro said that despite a spat between 'Chacha and Bhatija', a maximum number of 31 per cent people still want to see Akhilesh Yadav becoming the Chief Minister of UP for second term.
  • BSP Supremo Mayawati stood at second spot with 27 per cent people in her support followed by BJP MP Yogi Adityanath with 24 per cent votes in his favour.

Whose image dented the most due to family scuffle:

  • 30 per cent people believe that Mulayam Singh's image has been dented the most due to recent family tussle, while 16 per cent people are of the view that Akhilesh Yadav is affected more with the current feud in the family.
  • Meanwhile, 43 per cent people think that the family tussle have affected both Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav.
  • As many as 43 per cent people of UP found State SP President Shivpal Singh Yadav as the biggest villain in the recent upheavel in the party followed by Amar Singh with 18 per cent dubbing him as villain of piece.
