India is angry, Modi failed to create employment: Rahul
New Delhi: In reply to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s remark against GST on goods for differently-abled people, the finance ministry on Tuesday said that such products have been kept in only 5 per cent tax slab.
“The products for differently-abled people have been kept in the 5 per cent tax ambit, while earlier they attracted 5 to 18 per cent tax,” the finance ministry stated in a press release.
It may be recalled that Rahul Gandhi had on Monday slammed the Narendra Modi government at the Centre for increasing tax burden on the differently-abled people. He had sought the government to roll back the decision in a series of tweets.
Congress Party demands a full roll back of this 'disability tax' that will put millions of our disabled people through further hardship
