Silent City of India

In metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata, there is always traffic jam and only the noise of horns is heard everywhere.

There is a place in India where the horns of the vehicles don't sound here, This city is Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram.

The horns of vehicles do not ring here. It seems as if the horns of all the vehicles in Aizawl have been removed.

There is neither any traffic police nor any traffic signal in this silent city of India.

Here people follow the traffic rules honestly.

Here people do not compete to overtake, due to which cases of road rage also do not come to light.

The roads in Aizawl are narrow with vehicular movement on both sides without any road divider.

At some places, a white stripe is visible between the two lanes. There are separate lanes for four-wheelers and two-wheelers on the roads here.
