Sonia Gandhi admitted to Ganga Ram hospital due to viral fever

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday was admitted to a hospital owing to a viral infection.

"The Congress President has been admitted to a hospital following viral fever. She will be discharged within two days. She will resume her Parliament duty soon. There is no cause for worry," Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said.

Doctors have advised Sonia Gandhi to remain under medical supervision. The 69-year old will undergo several tests during her treatment, said sources.
