Joining hands with Kalyan Singh was a mistake: Mulayam Singh

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Friday admitted that it was a mistake on his part to join hands with former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh.

“Even then it was pointed out to me by my party seniors and I immediately realized my mistake,” said Mulayam while speaking at the function to celebrate birthday of former SP minister Bhagwati Singh adding, “there is no harm in admitting your mistakes.”

Other Highlights:

• In 1991, Kalyan Singh first became chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
• Kalyan started campaigning for Samajwadi Party in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
• Kalyan Singh became the governor of Rajasthan on September 4, 2014.
