New Delhi: At least 90 National Security Guard (NSG) commandos have been deployed at Lal Quila (Red Fort) in early hours on Wednesday, following a terror threat.

The officials said that security of many important destinations across the national capital has been tightened.

The defence officials have stated that considering the intensity of the threat, the most elite anti-terror squad NSG has been deployed at the historic monument.

Pakistan has desperately and continuously tried to infiltrate terrorists into India ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the issue of human rights violations in Balochistan and PoK.

The officials stated that Red fort has a special significance in the history of India and after the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army, the Pakistan has started targeting the places of national importance in India.
