IPL 10 GL vs KXIP: Punjab puts 188 against Gujarat

Rajkot: Following the fireworks of Axar Patel, Kings XI Punjab posted a total 188 runs against Gujarat Lions in the Indian Premier League match at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Sunday.

Axar's quick-fire 17-ball 34-run inning was laced with three fours and two sixes.

KXIP rode on another great inning by Hashim Amla who played 40-ball 65-run knock, studded with nine fours and two sixes.

After being invited to bat, Punjab lost Manan Vohra (2) very early in the inning. Then came Shaun Marsh and together with Hashim Amla, he shared 70-run stand.

Marsh got out scoring 30 off 24 balls with four fours and a six.

Skipper Glenn Maxwell, from the very start of his inning, looked aggressive. With three biggies and a four, he played a knock of his kind. He departed at an individual score of 31.

For GL, Andrew Tye claimed two wickets. Dwayne Smith, Ravindra Jadeja, Nathu Singh and Shubham Agarwal picked one-wicket each.

GL needs 189 runs to win against Kings XI Punjab.
