Former cricketer attacks finance minister Arun Jaitley again

New Delhi: Cricketer-turned- politician Kirti Azad has targeted finance minister Arun Jaitley again for attack. This time he has hit him not for his role in the Delhi District Cricket Association but for his appointment as finance minister, although it was made more than two years ago. As such, it is not clear why he has chosen this time to be critical of him.

In a tweet on Sunday he said, " the person who is not capable of winning a ward election has become finance minister. I have been winning since 1999 when Modi was not the chief minister of Gujarat". In the tweet name of the finance minister was not mentioned, but the reference is obvious as Jaitley had contested a general election for the first time in 2014.

However, it was not a ward election he had contested. He had fought for a Lok Sabha seat from Punjab and lost.

It may be recalled that Azad has been suspended from the BJP for anti-party activities. He has not joined Aam Admi Party but his wife has .
