Dussehra: Ravana Dahan celebrated in Lucknow
Lucknow: Vijaya Dashmi, or Dussehra, marking the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and symbolising the triumph of good over evil, was celebrated with fervour in the Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow on Saturday.
An 121 feet long effigy of Ravana was burnt at the Ramlila Ground in Aishbagh area here. Governor Ram Naik and Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dinesh Sharma were present at the event.
