Demonetisation: IAS Week celebrations in UP are likely to be shifted 

The IAS week which was to commence on December 1 with main events to be taken place till December 4 is now being shifted from December 15 to 18. It is because all the District Magistrates have been asked not to leave their respective districts in view to mitigate people's woes following demonetisation

Lucknow: Another side effect of demonetisation- IAS week in Uttar Pradesh will have to be deferred.

The IAS week which was to commence on December 1 with main events to be taken place till December 4 is now being shifted from December 15 to 18. It is because all the District Magistrates have been asked not to leave their respective districts in view to mitigate people's woes following demonetisation.

The Chief Minister and Governor host the Indian Adminitsrative Service (IAS ) fraternity at Lunch or Dinner beside a host of colourful programmes.

Ashish Kumar Goel, the secretary of Uttar Pradesh IAS association replied in affirmative when asked about the change in dates but added that the finality would be clear by Monday.

The mega-event of the officers ,however, may encounter another roadblock if the Election Commission makes announcement of the dates for UP assembly elections.
