Akhilesh Yadav calls for strict action in Bijnor incident

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday ordered strict action against those behind the Bijnor incident.

As soon as the news of the incident reached to the UP CM, he directed home secretary Mani Prasad Mishra and ADG (Law and Order) Mr. Daljeet Chowdhary to rush to the scene on the incident.

“The state government will not compromise on law and order,” said Akhilesh.

Akhilesh termed the incident as unfortunate and expressed his condolences on the loss of life.

Akhilesh Yadav announces financial assistance:

Chief Minister announces Rs. 20-20 lakh for the deceased and Rs. 5-5 lakh financial aid of Rs. 20-20 lakh to the family of the deceased and Rs. 5-5 lakh to those who were injured in the incident.

Earlier on Friday, Communal tension gripped the Bijnore district of western Uttar Pradesh after four persons of a community were killed and several others injured in dispute over eve-teasing in Peda village under Kotwali area on national Highway 119 in the outskirts of the city.
