Monsoons – Right time to go eco-friendly with baby care

Lucknow: Monsoon brings the much awaited relief from the scorching and uncomfortable heat, but it also has some major drawbacks. The persistent rains result in water logging on and around the roads which not only slows down the traffic but gives birth to mosquitoes.

The swarms of mosquitoes bother us not only with their stinging bites but diseases like malaria and dengue. There are a few more water borne diseases like diarrhea, stomach issues, etc. Therefore, it calls for everyone to take precautions, and especially good care of the highly sensitive newborns.

Babies are extremely vulnerable to the changes in the weather, especially to the humidity in the air. Its vital that wise and wholesome choices are made for the baby. The twofold benefits from these include protection of the environment by using eco-friendly products, which are safe and healthy for the baby.

Its imperative that the planet earth be protected from all kinds of pollutions for our future generations to thrive. Despite our awareness and pure intentions, we continue to harm the mother earth, which is slowly poisoning the planet. We oblivious use products for our daily sustenance which are harming the planet badly. Did you know that the widely used baby care wet wipes harm the environment as they are non bio-degradable, and they create high magnitude sewage blockages in cities. And to resolve these issues, huge amount of money is spent.

Even the techniques used in industries pollute the environment with harmful gases and substances.

We may not be equipped to put a stop to these operations. We, however, can certainly change our outlook and attitude, and thereby our habits, to use only healthy and safe options for mother earth, our families and future generations. Without this change in attitude, we will fail in creating a sustainable environment for our future generations.

Over the years with the rise in awareness and increase in sensitivity towards the environment and ourselves, we are becoming more mindful of our lifestyles, the products we use, what we consume and what we choose for our babies. People are realising the use of natural and organic products even for external purposes.

Usage of plant fiber e.g. organic cotton wool or bamboo based wet wipes and diapers for our babies, protects our environment, gives impetus to agro industries, and safeguards babies from indirect consumption of poisonous chemicals.

People and babies with highly sensitive health and skin can easily appreciate the use of the organic products. Scientists have confirmed that these products, by virtue of being natural, are pure and unadulterated, so they are easily bio-degradable and accepted by our bodies; with no side effects.

Chemicals are being added to almost everything as a shortcut for faster creation of products. Though they offer temporary relief, they can cause long term harmful effects on our bodies. So it’s a wiser option to use natural, pure products, which promise permanent resolutions.
