Tension prevailed on Saturday in Sher Singh colony, Jalandar in the wake of incident of sacrilege of Sikh holy book of sikhs ,Guru Granth sahib.

Jalandar: Tension prevailed on Saturday in Sher Singh colony, Jalandar in the wake of incident of sacrilege of Sikh holy book of sikhs ,Guru Granth sahib.

According unofficial reports, some torn "Angs "of holy books,Guru Granth Sahib and Gurbani Pothi were seen floating in a Canal by residents of the colony who passed on the "news" to others.

This caused a good deal of tension in the area. The case is being investigated by the police.

Some other residents saw some pages of Hindu holy book Bhagwat Gita also floating in the canal. They have been taken out and dried.
