Who says luck does not matter?At least not UP minister Ziauddin

Lucknow: Luck plays a role some time if not always. Ask Samajwadi Party assembly member Ziauddin Rizvi he will tell you nothing else. His name was included in the list of ministers who were to be sworn-in in Uttar Pradesh cabinet expansion in June last but he is still out of office and no one knows for certain when he will join it.

Choice of word to describe it, may be of your liking , but here is how things unfolded. When he was named as a Minister he was on a foreign visit. There were some other developments when he returned. He has to wait still because now there is in-fighting in the first political family in the state which shows no sign of ending soon.

State governor Ram Naik has tried to come to his rescue and change the scenario but that too could not help him. He has written three letters to chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to finalise a date but it is yet undecided.

What worries him most is that he has become butt of a joke, besides others, of his own party colleagues. And he is facing all this for last two months. He was to be sworn-in on June 27 along with five new cabinet and four ministers of state.
