UP CM expresses annoyance with Lucknow DM Rajshekhar publicly

Lucknow: Is Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is helpless or Lucknow district magistrate too overbearing ?

If one goes by the recent public outburst of the CM about Lucknow DM Rajshekhar this question crops up naturally. Close on the heel of a recent public dressing down of the DM, the UP CM today made one more sweeping remark at vintage car rally event in the state capital on unday morning.

‘ ‘ DM Sahab Hamaara Kaam To Karte Nahi Hain, Apna Kaam Karte rahte Hain(DM does not follow me instead functioning in his own way)”, CM said about him at a public gathering.

Background:

• At a function on January 30 ,the CM had commented “ Mr DM stop your dramas” with an obvious reference to latter’s over indulgence in some events.
• It is said that CM has been unhappy with the Lucknow DM over his absence in some of his programmes.
• DM Rajshekhar is a popular figure in Lucknow with an image of being a media-savvy person.
• He has recently received commendation from the Election Commission as an outstanding performer during the last elections.
• DM is more often seen in various cultural and social events including Hazratganj carnival and Lucknow Mahotsav in the capital .
