When actress Sridevi turned mother at the tender age of 13

Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actress Sridevi, who lost her life on Saturday, had once surprised the entire filmdom by becoming mother at the tender age of 13 years.

Yes, she portrayed the role of South Superstar Rajinikanth's mother in the movie Mundroo Muddhich at the age of just 13 years. Interestingly, once a mother, Sridevi also played the lover of Rajinikanth in 'Dharamyudh'.

It may be mentioned that she was fondly regarded as the Lady Amitabh Bachchan of Bollywood.

One of the most talented and promising actresses in Hindi filmdom passed away at the early age of 54 due to cardiac arrest in Dubai, where she went to attend a family wedding function.

The Bollywood queen made her debut as a lead actress in Bollywood in 1978 with Solva Sawan and gained popularity with Himmatwala in 1983. She has a number of commercially successful movies to her credit with projects like Mawaali, Mr. India, Chandni and critically acclaimed films like Sadma, ChaalBaaz, Lamhe, Khuda Gawah, Laadla and Judaai.

Before her entry into Bollywood, the actor had been a known face in South Indian films. She made her debut as a child artist in in Tamil film Thunaivan in 1969.

Besides making a name in Hindi cinema, Sridevi has also worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada movies.
