Sidharth Malhotra to star in Captain Vikram Batra biopic!

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra is all set to star in Kargil: Sher Shah. It is a biopic based on the Kargil war martyr Captain Vikram Batra.

The biopic will soon go on floors in Kashmir.

Kargil: Sher Shah is produced by Ekta kapoor. This would be second outing of Sidharth and Ekta together after their flick Ek Villain which was a hit in 2014.

When asked about why it took him so long to star in a biopic, Sidharth stated, "A biopic needs to mean something. As an actor, I need to feel the connect. A biopic is not a fictitious story. It is based on a real person and I think one needs to handle that with a lot of sensitivity. The character that I'll be playing next is very sensitive and his story is also quite touching. When I was approached for the film, and they spoke to me about the character, I felt it means a lot to me and I have so much respect for him."

It may be mentioned that, Sidharth is also in talks with Anees Bazmee. The director has approached Sidharth to star in a solo lead movie which is a rom-com.
