UP Polls: BJP replaces its Varanasi South candidate

BJP has gone for new faces in many constituencies in UP, U'khand

Varanasi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday changed its Varanasi South candidate Neelkanth Tiwari to Sham Dev Rai Chaudhary.

Sham Dev Rai Chaudhary was a dedicated and popular senior leader of the BJP. Seven time sitting MLA from Varanasi South seat, Shamdev had begun his political career in 1967.

BJP is fielding a young face of Sham Dev Rai Chaudhary in his place.

Varanasi will contest elections in the seventh phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.
