Patiala House Court frames charges against Chota Rajan

New Delhi: Patiala House Court, on Wednesday, framed charges of cheating, forgery & criminal conspiracy against underworld don Rajendra Sadashiv Nikhalje alias Chhota Rajan and three others in a fake passport case.

The CBI, had earlier, in its charge sheet, alleged that Chhota Rajan got his fake passport from Bengaluru in 1998-99 in the name of fictitious Mohan Kumar.

While Rajan is under judicial custody since May 18, the three others are out on bail.

Rajan is also wanted in over 85 other cases, ranging from murder to extortion, smuggling and drug trafficking.

He has cases pending against him in CBI court and in other courts in Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
