Muzaffarpur: In a shocking development, nine school kids were killed and 24 others sustained injuries as a car rammed into a school building here in Bihar.

The disturing incident took place in Ahiyapur’s Jhapaha when several childen were waiting to cross the road and anover-speeding Mahindra Bolero crushed them under the wheels, said the local sources.

The source further said that three of the 24 injured are in critial condition.

Announcing the ex-gratia, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the families of nine deceased children will be given Rs 4 lakh each.

RJD MLA from Minapur, Munna Yadav immediately rushed to the spot after coming across the news of mishap.

After his visit, he said that the driver of the vehicle was undoubtedly inebriated, and claimed that there has been no control on consumption of alcohol despite the state government's claims of prohibition.
