One died, more than 12 injured after a bus turned turtle in Meerut

Meerut: One person was killed and more than 12 were injured when a bus turned-turtle on Mawana road in Salarpur village here.

According to the police, "The bus driver is absconding since the incident occurred. We are probing the matter."

• The bus was carrying people who were going for a wedding.
• The injured were immediately taken to the Apusnova hospital.

According to the eyewitnesses the driver lost his control over the steering due to which the accident happened.

The deceased is identified as Kapil is resident of Ganeshpuri area of Meerut.

It may be mentioned that a similar incident took place when a nano car had rammed into a school bus on the Raya-Aligarh road, critically injuring all four persons sitting in the former. The incident had taken place near Auraiya village in Aligarh on February 14.
