Mayawati to start her election campaign from her birthday

Lucknow, Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati, will start her election campaign for the 2017 Vidha Sabha election on Friday on her birthday, to be observed as ‘Jankalyan Diwas’ by the party.

Mayawati, who is turning 60 on Friday, will participate in a grand function organized by the party members at Jyotiba Phule stadium of the state capital, where she will address a public rally.

She will also cut a birthday cake in the presence of few party member at around 11 am at the party headquarter and arrangements have been made for its live transmission for other districts, said BSP’s state unit President, Ram Achal Rajbhar. He said, earlier, she will meet senior party leaders at her residence and cut a birthday cake weighing 60 kilograms.

Arrangements have been made for the live telecast of her birthday celebrations from both the venues. During her address, party leaders will distribute sweets and fruits among poor and downtrodden.

Buoyed by the success of the party in recent Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh, the BSP supremo asked her cadre to reach to the masses to spread ideology of the party. She also urged party leaders to mark her birthday by helping poor and helpless people.
