Lucknow: Taking a serious note of the attack on senior IAS officer Dr Hariom by a consolidation officer, the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) association has decided to talk to the Uttar Pradesh government asking it to provide proper security of officers.

“The association has decided to talk to the government over the issue of repeated attacks on senior IAS officers. We need security and we will keep our demand before the government,” said Bhuvnesh Kumar, the secretary of IAS association.

Meanwhile, IAS officers have united and have condemned the attack on Dr Hariom by his subordinate, who was later arrested and suspended.

It may be mentioned that a consolidation officer had assaulted Dr Hariom, who is posted as Consolidation Commissioner, on Wednesday last. The accused had also threatened to throw from the seventh floor.
