Gujarat: 3 girl students killed in fire at Rashtra Katha Shibir

Gandhinagar: As many as three girl students lost their lives in a fire that broke out at Rashtra Katha Shibir in Gujarat late night on Friday.

The fire also left many including 15 girls have been critically injured.

The Shibir was organized Pransla district of the state which was to be held from January 6 to January 13. The event was attended by more than 15 thousand girl students.

According to the speculations the fire broke out due to a shot circuit. As many as 15 fire brigades were deployed to the spot to control the blaze and the girls were admitted to a nearby hospital immediately.

The police has assured a proper investigation for the cause of fire.

It is to be mentioned that Home Minister Rajnath Singh also did attend the event two days before and actor Mukesh Khanna (Shaktiman fame) was also present at the Shibir the night it caught fire. He, however, left the place before the accident.
