At least 42 political parties had protested the Khalnayak (1993) song ‘Choli Ke Peeche’ when it was released. The song was also praised the most after its released. In fact, the only time in the history of any Indian award, when the best female playback singer award was shared was between Ila Arun and Alka Yagnik for the same.

'Ae Malik Tere Bande Hum’ from a 1957 movie Do Aankhen Barah Haath which was sung by Lata Mangeshkar became such a rage that it was adapted by a Pakistani school as its school anthem.

Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hai Dil Se (Dhadkan):

The song from movie Dhadkan released in year 2000 brought together the arch rivals, of the music industry at that time, Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan.
