Akhilesh Yadav disappointed for not contesting polls from Bundelkhand

Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded straight replies from Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav over recent revelation brought out by a national news channel with regards to involvement of members of ruling Yadav family of Uttar Pradesh in Yadav Singh case being probed by the CBI.

''It is not a new thing because Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and even Ram Gopal Yadav had spoken about corruption by the political functionaries and now the fresh revelations verify those,'' points out Vijay Bahadur Pathak, BJP General Secretary in UP.

He said even during the course of internal feud in the ruling party, Mulayam Singh Yadav had gone on record saying Ram Gopal wanted to save his son and daughter-in-law from CBI hence he was instigating Akhilesh. '' Now is the time for the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to come out with his version on allegations of corruption on his family,'' the BJP General Secretary said.

Pathak made it clear that no political functionary in the state could indulge in corruption without knowledge of the CM. So the onus rested on Akhilesh to come clean on corruption.

It may be mentioned here that ABP new channel has alleged quoting some documents ,apparently with the CBI, which showed how the relatives of Mulayam and Akhilesh

made recommendations for contracts to former Noida Chief Enegineer Yadav Singh, currently facing CBI probe. '' In the light of this, UP CM should be forthcoming in giving out his version on the issue of corruption, not only related to multi-crore Yadav Singh scam but even otherwise, the BJP demanded.
