Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital for routine check-up on Friday evening. Revealing the reason behind his admission, the doctors said that he was suffering from gastrointestinal complications, but there was nothing to be worried.

“He was brought to the hospital at around 6.30 pm and has been kept under the care of noted gastroenterologist Dr Jayant Barve," said officials from the hospital.

As per the sources, Bachchan visited the hospital for a routine check-up but as the doctors had to administer an intravenous injection he was asked to be admitted.

Big B is also likely to undergo endoscopy before finally heading home, added the source.
