Twitter officials meet Big B after he threatened to quit micro-blogging site

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital for routine check-up on Friday evening. Revealing the reason behind his admission, the doctors said that he was suffering from gastrointestinal complications, but there was nothing to be worried.

“He was brought to the hospital at around 6.30 pm and has been kept under the care of noted gastroenterologist Dr Jayant Barve," said officials from the hospital.

As per the sources, Bachchan visited the hospital for a routine check-up but as the doctors had to administer an intravenous injection he was asked to be admitted.

Big B is also likely to undergo endoscopy before finally heading home, added the source.

Earlier in the day, the 75-year-old actor had shared the first look and teaser of his upcoming movie '102 Not Out', which will mark his reunion with another veteran actor Rishi Kapoor after many years.
