In Mumbai, 49 civil and government-run institutions have been designated as vaccine centers, while corona vaccination was arranged in 71 private hospitals. These 71 centers were closed two days ago due to lack of vaccine.

BMC said in a statement, '99,000 doses were received late on the night of 9 April. On April 10, 1,34,970 doses were received. A total of 2,33,970 doses have been provided to BMC in the last two days. However, vaccination continued in government hospitals. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had announced that the re-vaccination in private hospitals would be started only after the civil hospitals received adequate doses of the vaccine.

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope recently said that there is a huge shortage of vaccine in the state, despite this the central government has given only seven and a half lakh doses of vaccine to the state.
