Lucknow: Today a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between King George's Medical University, India and Harcourt Butler Technical University Kanpur, India to promote mutual research and cooperation.

MoU signed between KGMU & Harcourt Butler Technical University:

Both the Universities recognized the research benefits from the establishment of institutional links, and agreed to enter into this agreement for the purpose of academic and educational cooperation, establish a collaborative program in research in healthcare technologies using reverse engineering & 3D printing and cooperate in their mutual interest for a range of higher educational research activities.


This will bring together the two disciplines of engineering and medicine to conduct research and development in the field of biomedical application of 3D printing and medical device designing. The MOU was signed by Lt Gen Bipin Puri, Vice Chancellor of King George's Medical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA and Prof. Samsher, Vice Chancellor , Harcourt Butler Technical University Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh INDIA at King George's Medical University.

The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof Divya Mehrotra, Faculty In-charge of the 3D DHR GeMS Lab with the 3D Printing facility at KGMU; Dr Bhaskar, Faculty at 3D printing department of HBTU, Registrar of HBTU and Prof RK Garg, Faculty incharge MOU Cell at KGMU.
