Lucknow, Complimenting the Good Governance in Uttar Pradesh during the last four and a half years, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made it clear that Yogi Adityanath needed to be made the Chief Minister of the state in 2022 in order to ensure another term of Narendra Modi as PM in 2024.

"Yogi's victory would pave way for the repeating Modi ji as Prime Minister in 2024," said Shah while giving the slogan 'Phir Ek Baar BJP 300 Par' for the UP assembly elections at the launch of BJP's massive membership drive "Mera Parivar-BJP Parivar" in Lucknow on Friday.

Accusing the SP, BSP and Congress governments of ruining Uttar Pradesh's law and order, he said there used to be two-three mafias in every district. "Now after Yogi Adityanath government, which came to power in 2017, mafia is not visible in UP even after looking through binoculars," commented Amit Shah.

He said that after SP, BSP, Congress, UP had seen the rule of law established by the BJP. " UP has been a land of Baba Vishwanath, Lord Ram, Gautam Buddha, Jain saints and Mahamana Malviya. This could be realised only after 2017 as the Yogi government restored the pristine glory of the state getting rid of the Mughal culture prevailed during the previous governments, " he opined.

Amit Shah said that BJP fulfilled its two pledges- build a grand Ram temple at Ayodhya and scrapping article 370 from Kashmir. Akhilesh and Company used to taunt that the temple will be built there but BJP would not tell the date, but now they went speechless as a grandiose temple being built at the place where unarmed innocent Ram devotees were killed by the SP government.

Taking a jibe at Samajwadi Party, Shah said that Akhilesh even did not contribute even Rs 5,000 for the Ram temple. He said Akhilesh and Company were hiding in their house during Corona period and floods but today seeing the elections near, these 'seasonal' leaders have come out. " Akhilesh owes an explanation to the people of the state how many days he stayed abroad in 5 years? Where was during Corona and floods, " asked the HM.

Appreciating the commendable work done during the Corona period, Amit Shah said that the efforts of Yogi Adityanath saved people's lives. "Today, be it Covid testing or vaccination, UP is number one in both," he revered.

All praise for the Yogi government on economy front, Shah said that the state of Uttar Pradesh, which was the number seven economy of the country under Akhilesh's rule, was now the number two economy under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath.

He said that in 2017 there were 12 government medical colleges, after that 30 medical colleges had already been built and there will be 40 more by 2022.

informing that majority of promises have been fulfilled as mentioned in the Sankalp Patra of the party before 2017 elections, he called upon the people of the state to give BJP one more chance to make UP the number one state in the country.

He made it very simple that if Narendra Modi was able to form the government with full majority twice in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the credit goes to the people of UP.

Amit Shah said that in 2014, as the state in-charge and in 2017 and 2019 as the national president of the party, he roamed on the streets of the state. "For other parties, elections are a means of grabbing power, whereas for us, elections are for taking our ideology to every doorstep and expanding the party. BJP workers will go door-to-door to put stickers of "My family-BJP family" and ask their well being and also tell the achievements of the government, " he said.

The Union Home Minister said while over 90 percent of the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra promises announced in 2017 elections have been fulfilled, efforts are afoot to fulfill all the promises in next two months. He announced that the membership drive of BJP, which started from October 29, will be run till December 31.
