Jaipuria Institute conducts 5 days online FDP on Advanced Business Analytics

Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow conducted Five days online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Advanced Business Analytics" from 26 July to 30July' 2021. Jaipuria Institute conducts 5 days online FDP

200 participants from 150 Institutes of the country consisting of Faculty members, Ph.D. Research Scholars and officials from academic institutions and industry personnel from prestigious institutes were registered in this program

The inaugural ceremony was chaired by Dr. Kavita Phathak, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur. She emphasized on the importance of business analytics in different fields like Marketing, HR, Finance, health, and education for effective and efficient decision making.

The Chief Guest Dr. R. Chandrasekhar Menon, Founder Director, Swift MBA (A Healthcare Business Analytics Consulting Organization), Tamil Nadu, India said that India has a high potential of being at the forefront in Business Analytics. He also demonstrated the application of business analysis and their impact in hospitals and other sectors.

The Guest of Honor Dr. Vinod Murti, Country Head (Institute of Analytics-London) has also explained the impact of business analytics in various businesses. He also took hands-on sessions on text mining and sentiment analysis on R software.

Dr. Deepak Singh, CEO, Insyst Labs, Lucknow took sessions on feature engineering, Artificial Neural Networks, Deep Learning algorithm. He gave an overview on different software's that can be used for analytics and took sessions on hands-on training on Python software.

Dr. Kanishka Tyagi, Lead, Machine Learning Autonomous Driving Scientist, Aptiv Coorporation, California took very insightful session on investigative framework, modelling and challenges with autonomous driving.

During these 5 Days FDP, Dr. Masood Siddiqui, professor, Jaipuria Institute of Management gave conceptual as well as practical knowledge on EDA, statistical inference, predictive modelling and unsupervised learning. He also took hands on session on SPSS software.

In this FDP, one session was also conducted on 'Befriending Stress in an Uncertain Times-Heartfulness Way' by Prof. Shyam Ji Mehrotra, Heartfulness trainer.

In the valedictory session, Prof. D. P. Kothari,( Ex Vice Chancellor, VIT, Vellore, Ex Director I/c and Dy. Director(Admin,), IIT Delhi, Chairman BOG Tihri Hydro Institution, Uttarakhand) was present as guest of honor. He took a session on Optimization and AI and talked about the use of AI techniques in business. He also told that how robotics is being used in surgery, assisting teachers, serving food in restaurants. He also talked about the use of expert systems in airline industry, banking and finance, education, food industry, agriculture, security and personal management. He also gave his views on how to write good research papers and books.
