Covid-19: Uttar Pradesh left with 85 Active Cases

The Active Covid-19 cases in the most populous state have been brought down by over a remarkable 99 percent from its peak capped at 3,10,783 cases earlier in April.

Lucknow, Maintaining the positive recovery trend — high recoveries and a low number of fresh Covid-19 cases — have reduced the Active Covid Caseload in Uttar Pradesh to 85, while the percentage of active cases as against the total confirmed cases in the state is 0 percent.

The Active Covid-19 cases in the most populous state have been brought down by over a remarkable 99 percent from its peak capped at 3,10,783 cases earlier in April.

In a sharp contrast to Uttar Pradesh, sparsely populated states like Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu account for a heavy Active Caseload of 79,266, 16,658 and 11,492 respectively.

In another significant development, the Active Covid-19 cases have declined to zero in as many as 44 districts. Whereas about 17 districts of the state are just left with a single active case each.

Nearly 50 percent of the active cases in Uttar Pradesh are concentrated in just four districts, including Lucknow, Gautam Budh Nagar, Prayagraj and Meerut.

Meanwhile, out of the 1,26,393 samples tested, the state recorded eleven new cases in the past 24 hours, while eight persons recovered from the infection in the same duration. The new cases were reported from merely 4 districts.

Even as the Covid-situation remains in effective control in the state, the Health Officials have urged people to adhere to the Covid-19 protocol in individual and social interest to avoid any further spread.

As second covid-19 wave recedes from the state, the active and fresh cases have declined to zero in as many as 44 districts including, Agra, Aligarh, Amethi, Amroha, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Badaun, Baghpat, Ballia, Barabanki, Bahraich, Bhadohi, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Etah, Etawah, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hathras, Jaunpur, Kasganj, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur-kheri, Maharajganj, Mahoba, Mainpuri, Mathura, Mau, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Pratapgarh, Shamli, Shravasti, Siddharthnagar, Sitapur, Sonbhadra and Unnao

Over 67.5 percent partially vaccinated in UP

Uttar Pradesh has given out over 13.43 crore vaccine doses so far and that is no small achievement. The impressive pace of COVID vaccination has made Uttar Pradesh 'the top state' with the largest population in the country.

In addition, the state has also achieved the landmark of administering the first dose of the covid-19 vaccine to over 67.53 percent of the eligible adult population. Over 3.47 crore people in the state have been fully vaccinated.

After successfully administering the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine rapidly, the government is also working at a war-footing to improve the second dose coverage in the state.
