AIFT organizes convocation program in skill development in chikankari & Dress making course

The convocation program for the Batch of 32 girls of Asma Hussain Institute of Fashion Technology,Raj Bhawan center Lucknow , in skill development in chikankari & Dress making course was organised on 31 July 2021 at Gandhi Sabhagar, Raj bhawan, Lko, at 11am . Chief Guest was Hon'ble Governer Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel . Guest of honour, Mr Siddharth Nath singh, minister MSME & Khadi &Village industries. The dignitaries present were Mr Mahesh Gupta Acs to Governer, Mr Navneet Sehgal Acs , MSME, Mr D S Chauhan Cgm Nabard,and Asma Hussain CMD,AIFT.

Asma Hussain CMD Aift, gave the keynote presentation & explained about the contents and progress of the training and how they are planning to take it forward , by associating with NBARD snd setting up the production unit for these trained women. She also explained that the girls have been converted into self help group and there bank accounts are being opened. She emphasised how in such short period of training the girls have become professionals and have worked hard along with the faculty to achieve this level

This training was conducted under the aegis of One district one product (ODOP) ministry of MSME & export promotion and Institute of Entreprenuership , UP

Certificates, and sewing machines were distributed to 32 candidates by Governor.

Governor in her speech appreciated the work and progress of these girls and encouraged them to do some job now and take advantage of the training

This training program was started in November 2020 which was the vision of the hon'ble governor to train the wives & daughters of the staff of Rajbhawan and empower them by skilling them professionally.

Mr Sidharth Nath Singh in his speech congratulated the participants and said that in future too he will continue to support such trainings

Mr Navneet Sehgal explained the schemes and opportunities in the aegis of "one district one product" and how MSME department is arranging marketing through internet , E commerce, and many schemes which they are bringing for artisans, handicrafts and chikankari.

An exhibition of the work of students was also on display.

A certificate of excellence was awarded to Asma Hussain Institute Of Fashion Technology by the Hon'ble governor Smt Anandiben Patel.
