UP CM conducts surprise check at night shelter in Lucknow

Lucknow: As the state is gripped under coldwave, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, paid surprise visit at a 'rain basera' (night shelter) near Balrampur hospital in Lucknow.

CM conducted the surprise check to ensure proper relief measures for the homeless and poor people.

UP CM had ordered all the district magistrates to make proper arrangements including night shelters, bonfires and free blankets, for the poor.

CM warned the officials to avoid callousness in this matter.

A large part of North India, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana, continued to remain under the grip of cold wave, affecting daily life.
