UP Investors Summit 2018: Yogi on the cusp of creating History??

Lucknow: The mega event of Uttar Pradesh Investor Summit 2018 is over. Now is the reckoning time for Yogi government.

The Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs four lakh crore were claimed to have been signed with the various industrialists in the summit thus, projecting it as the successful-ever investor meet. The dice is cast heavily in the favour of Yogi Adityanath who despite his severely limited administrative capabilities possesses the support of the Centre coupled with environment conducive to investment.

Now the million dollar question! Can it be achieved that the MoUs are converted into reality with all investment promised or pledged comes in the state. Can Yogi manage to elicit confidence among Ambanis, Adanis and others to be able to get their investments?

It is possible because of two-fold reasons - one is the stability of the state government with massive political mandate and never-before support of the Centre (Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this case). The only factor which goes perilously against Yogi is his inability, which he has shown so far, to extract best out of the bureaucracy. He, however, has shown his maneuverability by inducting some of the officers with impressive track record like Anup Chandra Pandey, Navneet Sehgal and Santosh Yadav for rather majestic execution of the summit and if continues to do so in the future as well, the goal is achieved.

Indeed, it is an onerous task at hand and it requires a lot of will and steel to transform the biggest state of the country into a modern development-hub, the high time it is attained. Yogi, in fact, is sitting on the threshold of sublime and ridiculous because if he fails, he is doomed politically and if succeeds, his name is sure to be embedded in the history of the state.

The 22-crore people of Uttar Pradesh are looking at Yogi with a bated breath as they also realise that this is the last opportunity to redeem themselves from the ignominy of being party to the failed political entities in the past.

No doubt, the history is calling and calling the most magnificent state of the country, in terms of manpower, resources, political property and on the top of all, the ravenous outlook for development and progress.
