Lenskart expands its footprint in eastern Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Strengthening the connect with eastern Uttar Pradesh, Lenskart.com, the brand responsible for revolutionizing eyewear in India, is aggressively expanding its stores in the region.

Currently, the brand has 10 stores in eastern UP which includes 6 in Lucknow, 2 in Varanasi and 1 each in Kanpur and Gorakhpur.

Lenskart plans to take it to 15 by the end of the financial year, with new stores across Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi and Gorakhpur.

Presently, the Lenskart stores are located at premium high streets and malls in cities of Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur which are spread across 400 Sq Ft to 800 Sq Ft. In the city of Nawabs, the stores are located in Bhoothnath Market, Indira Nagar, Kaiserbagh, Patrakarpuram, Aliganj, Alambagh and Phoenix Mall. In Varanasi, the stores are located at Durgakund and Sigra, in Kanpur at Z Square Mall and at Betiahata in Gorakhpur. Lenskart consumers include students as well as families, who not only like to look great and stylish, but also want great value for their money.

Commenting on the development, Peyush Bansal, Founder and CEO, Lenskart said, “550 million people in the country need reading glasses but only 170 million people wear them. Working with the vision to create awareness about eye care and making affordable yet stylish eyewear accessible, Lenskart is pleased to expand its footprint in UP. Present on the occasion, Oliver Kaye, Chief Business Officer, Lenskart said we are delighted to see the kind of responses Lenskart has got in India. We are not only expanding in Eastern UP but the whole of India.

The company is targeting having 550 stores by the end of the March 2019. He further added, ”Lenskart has seen great response from Lucknow for the Home Eye Check Up service as well. We see around 500 customers every month using our home services in Lucknow. ‘

Himanshu Kishore, Vice President - Retail Operations, North said that we have seen a great response from Eastern UP and are really excited in expanding our footprint here. Lenskart intends to reach all the customers and provide great quality spectacles at affordable prices. Our consumers from the zone have shown a high demand for rectangular and wayfarers- in fact, Golden Frames have been a fast mover in the zone. He further added “Customers in Eastern UP are knowledgeable and love to read, therefore, They are very particular about their frames be it reading glasses or normal spectacles.
