UP Law commission chairman Justice Ravindra Singh tenders resignation
Allahabad: Chairman of Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission Justice Ravindra Singh resigned from his post on Monday.
In the resignation that Justice Singh rendered to Governor Ram Naik, he stated that the decision was not taken under any pressure from the government.
The sources from the law commission, however, stated that the decision regarding the Justice’s resignation came following the speculations that the UP government has decided to end the 'chairman' post from the commission.
What else was written in the letter:
Justice Singh has appreciated the newly appointed CM of the state and extended his good wishes to the BJP government, expecting that it will develop the state and make it corruption-free.
“CM Yogi Adityanath is a dedicated and understanding leader and has sentiments for the people of the state. He has the vision for the overall development of the state.” he wrote in his letter.
Justice Ravindra Singh was appointed as the High Court judge in the year 2005 and retired on July 1, 2014. He was then appointed as the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission on May 16, 2016.
