JNUs another student goes missing; last seen on Monday

New Delhi: Few months after the sudden missing of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student Najeeb Ahmed, same incident took place in the campus.

Another student identified as Mukul Jain, a resident of Ghaziabad, has gone missing from the JNU. According to the sources from the campus, Mukul is missing from Monday last.

Kin said that they were searching for him from past two days. “Mukul used to daily commute from Ghaziabad to JNU but he did not return home on Monday,” said one of his family members.

University authorities were informed about the incident on Tuesday last and they then went through the CCTV footages which revealed that the JNU student was seen exiting the east gate at 1230 hours on Monday last.

Mukul's parents have registered a missing complaint at Vasant Kunj Police Station.

It is to be recalled that a similar incident took place when a student of JNU, Najeeb went missing from the Mahi-Mandvi hostel of the college on October 15, 2016.
