India has always tried to bring peace and tranquillity: Maurya

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday said that India is the only nation which has always tried to bring peace and tranquillity all around the globe. He said everyone wants peace in their lives.

Maurya was speaking in a World Peace Summit at the Paryatan Bhawan here. He also inaugurated the five-phased event.

Among the attendees were the UP cabinet minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi, former Vice-Chancellor of BHU Professor Girish Chandra Tripathi, Ram Manohar Lohia Law University former VC Professor Balraj Chauhan, International Spiritual leader and Yoga Guru Swamy Yogi Satyam, renowned US lawmaker Scott Lynch to name a few.

Appreciating the efforts of program organiser Shubham Tripathi, Deputy CM said, "I am surprised to see the efforts of him at such a young age."

Former Vice-Chancellor of BHU Professor Girish Chandra Tripathi was delighted to become a part of the program.

Women and family welfare minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi stressed on the importance of family peace.
