UP government transfers 16 IAS officers including nine DMs

Lucknow: In a big administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday transferred 16 IAS officers including nine District Magistrates, confirmed the officials.

The Yogi Adityanath government has reshuffled the DMs of Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Sultanpur, Jhansi, Bijnor, Basti, Mahoba and Rampur.

The transfers of DMs of Allahabad and Agra have been put on hold, while Meerut DM Sameer Verma and Muzaffarnagar DM Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi have been promoted as the Home Secretary and Secretary Urban Development, respectively.

Additional Chief Secretary Public Works Department Sadankant will be retiring on Wednesday.

Mahoba DM Ram Vishal Mishra has been appointed as Commissioner Chitrakoot. Sultanpur DM Harendra Veer Singh has been made Consolidation Commissioner.

Jhansi DM Karn Singh Chauhan has been promoted as Secretary State Human Rights Commission, while DM Bijnor Jagat Raj has been named as Secretary Culture Department and Director Culture.

VC Agra Development Authority Anil Dhingra has been appointed as Meerut DM. Additional Excise Commissioner Divya Prakash Giri has been named Banda DM.

DM Banda Mahendra Bahadur Singh has been transferred to Rampur on the same designation. Rampur DM Shiv Sahay Awasthi has been made DM Jhansi. Special Secretary Agricultural Production Sahdev has been appointed as DM Mahoba.

Sangeeta Singh has been appointed as DM Sultanpur, while Sanjeev Singh is the new DM of Muzaffarnagar. Atal Kumar Rai has been named as DM Bijnor.

Basti DM Arvind Kumar Singh has been promoted as Director NEDA. Sunil Kumar Maurya has been made DM Basti.
