Think before thanks later: Tourist taxes apply in the world

As the tourism industry looks to bounce back after being hit by the COVID 19 induced lockdowns and the people starting to throng tourist destinations across the world, some of most attractive countries have decided to impose Tourist Tax on the travellers. The primary reason behind the tax is said to be making money out of the tourism.

According to a research published by Euronews travel some of the countries like Spain, Austria, Thailand and Italy and few more have imposed tourist taxes on the travellers.

Barcelona and Valencia are two beautiful cities in Spain. Barcelon's tourist tax will be increased over the next two years, city authorities have announced. Tourist tax have been there in this country since 2012. This fee depends on the accommodation taken by the tourists. Now the authorities have increased tax with (Rupees 240) €2.75 from April 1, 2023.
