Davos (Switzerland): Another feather has been added to the success cap of Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Monday as he was honoured with prestigious 24th annual Crystal Award which is part of the World Economic Forum's 48th annual meeting.

‘King Khan’ was felicitated for ‘his leadership in championing children's and women's rights in India,’ the WEF forum said.

The facilitation ceremony, took place in Davos in Switzerland and also marked the commencement of the five-day annual meet 2018 of WEF.

The actor, who shared his dais with the popular international names like actor-director Cate Blanchett and singer Elton John described the experience as a 'fan moment'. He shared his happiness by tweeting and sharing the news.

The WEF, while announcing the names of the awardees said, “each of them in their own way has taken action to uphold human dignity.”

It is to worth mentioning that Shah Rukh is the founder of non-profit organisation Meer Foundation which works for the medical treatment, legal aid, vocational training and livelihood support of the acid attack victims.

‘Badshah’ of the B-town also helps children undergoing cancer treatment.

King Khan had earlier shared his photograph with his fans as he landed in Switzerland.
