Mothers Day 2021: Here are some tips to thank your Mom & make her day special

Mother's Day is a day when many people around the world express their gratitude to their mothers and mother figures. It is an annual event that takes place on various dates throughout the year, depending on the countries.

5 ways to celebrate Mother's Day

Last year was difficult, and this year we are facing the same problem. All of us are reconsidering how we can show our appreciation for mothers. When we should be together, some of us are separated from our mothers.

The majority of mothers simply want to communicate with their children and spend time with their families in whatever way they can—if not in person, then by phone or video chat!

Give your mother a day off from any family chores if she is at home, particularly during this trying period. Someone else should be in charge of preparing and serving the meals, as well as clearing and washing the dishes and doing the laundry. Become a volunteer!

This probably covers the major points, but here are 4 unique ways to reach out to mom and express your love, appreciation, and comfort. Moms are still there for us, after all!

1. Decorate your mother's door or send flowers to her!

If you live nearby, streamers, special flags, a wreath, and flowers can be used to decorate your mother's front door! If you have children, include them! The surprise would delight Mom or Grandma.

Flowers and trees, of course, are always a pleasure. Deliver plants to her porch in person if you live nearby. If you're not in the area, most places offer delivery (but make sure you order ahead of time!).

2. Make a virtual brunch date with Mom or cook for her.

Breakfast in bed is still a classic and cherished if your mother lives with you. Easy foods like toast or a croissant with jam or fruit and a cup of coffee or tea would suffice. If she doesn't want to eat in bed, prepare a sit-down brunch instead. Here are ten delectable brunch options.

How about a virtual brunch date with mom if you can't be with her in person? These Champagne Mimosas are a great choice. If she lives nearby, you can drop off the ingredients at her house, or give the recipe to everyone ahead of time! Then, lift a toast to mom with the entire family!

Drop off a casserole dinner if your mother lives nearby. It's delicious comfort food that you can make ahead of time and deliver to her porch!

Alternatively, bake a pizza! For Mother's Day, children in England have traditionally baked a cake. If you enjoy this tradition, try this recipe for a truly delicious (and better-than-boxed) cake: Mousse Cake with Chocolate.

3. Make a gif, a music playlist, or a piece of art for Mom!

Create a video with all of the kids. They will all say "Happy Mother's Day" and tell her how much they love her. On your tablet, you can still use iMovie to splice videos together.

Create a tape or a music playlist if you want. You might compile a playlist of relaxing music for bedtime, such as the sound of the seas. You may also collect her all-time favourite songs from 90s. (If your mother has an iPhone, make a special iTunes playlist for her and send it to her via email.)

What about a one-of-a-kind piece of art for Mom? Paint the exterior of a terra-cotta flower pot and fill it with garden seeds and a greeting card, for example. Alternatively, you could make a lovely picture frame with your family photo inside. Many ideas can be found on Pinterest and elsewhere on the Internet.

4. Make a unique gift or buy something!

You are not required to purchase a gift from a shop. Mothers appreciate heartfelt gifts.

Here are a few fun craft ideas, like kitchen gifts and DIY beauty items for a home spa basket!

Make your own vinegar with herbs.

Make your own fruit scrub or facial.

Preparing strawberry jam

Make jam with blueberries and rhubarb.

Make a lovely gift jar.

Make handmade greeting cards and write beautiful messages.

If you're looking for a gift online, consider jewellery or some makeup which will beautify her.

Offer your stud earrings, for example, a chain pendant. When she wears them, she will always be reminded of her lovable child.
