Indian Army knocks down 7 Pakistani soldiers in retaliatory action

New Delhi: Indian Army on Monday inflicted heavy casualties on Pakistan side, knocking down its seven soldiers in the forward areas along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

Four Pakistani soldiers were critically injured in India's retaliation for the killing of its army jawan on Saturday.

"The army has carried out retaliation against Pakistani troops across Jaglote area along the LoC in Mendhar sector of Poonch district," said a senior army officer.

Lance Naik Yogesh Muralidhar Bhadane, 28, was injured in Pakistan firing on Saturday. He was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his critical injuries.The braveheart belonged to Maharashtra.

Pakistan government, however, has confirmed at least four casualties to its side.
