Holi celebration is on, when it comes to talk about Indian festival only thing we know, is good food. Indian culture has every taste and most variety in their plate.

In the festival of Holi, people try some of best foods and sweets like Dahi Vada, Rasgulla, Gujhiya and Papad etc.

While we know it as the festival of bright colours, Holi food deserves its own celebrating. Holi begins Wednesday March 9, 2020 and runs for two days.

PAPRI CHAAT:

At this time of festival, when we eat alot of oily food, Papri Chaat is such a relief. It contains Dahi(Yogurt), Semi, boiled potato, papdi and jaljeera masala in it with little sugar.

BESAN PAPDI:

A savoury treat that is similar in texture to a Papad, these snacks have a spicy kick that is provided by chili powder and black pepper. Besan papdi are ideal for parties and to entertain guests during the Holi festival.

GUJHIYA:

Gujhiya is the most famous and essential food of Holi festival. This is the only sweet dish which is popularly cooked on the occasion of Holi.

Gujhiya includes Khoya(Mawa), sygar, Dry Foods, and plates of Maida.

In today's time, so many varieties are available in Gujhiya such as Pan Gujhiya, Chocholate Gujhiya, Mewa Gujhiya.

DAHI VADE:

Dahi Vada or Dahi Bara are fried lentil dumplings(Pakodi), topped with Dahi (curd), variety of chutney and spices.

KACHORI:

Kachori is indian food, whic is mostfamous in so many varities. Aloo kachori, Dal Kachori etc are very famous in North India. Take it with chutney, Dahi aur Achaar and feel the real taste of India.

LASSI:

Lassi is an Indian beverage, which is made by Curd, Sugar, Dry fruits, Cherry and Cardimom. This is one of the best health drink in India. Punjabi Lassi is one of the most loved drink in North India. Bhaang lassi is also common during the Holi festival.

RAS MALAI:

This is one of the most tasty dessert in India. Its origin comes from Bengal and is a light sugar containing sweet. This dessert is made with sweet dough balls. It stuffed with milk, saffron and sugar.

BHAANG:

Bhaang, the only beverage which is full of taste, some of alcohol and sweetness in it. This is most popular while Holi days. You must try this today on the occasion of Holi festival.

ALOO PAPAD:

Aloo Papad is very famous in North India and East India. This is made of bolied aloo, red chilli, salt and masala. It takes a month of time, then you can have it.

MALAI PEDA:

This sweet is made of Mawa and Sugar . This is Soft in texture and with a gentle, sweet flavour, these little balls are made with thickened milk or cream. You can add on dry fruits in it with some saffron.
