New methods improve IVF success rates by 80 per cent

Lucknow: Technical advancements in the field of infertility like stem cell and PRP (platelets rich plasma) in ART reproduction has boosted the IVF success rate and cost effective too. Earlier, it was about 50-60 %, but now it has gone upto to 80%.

Dr Gita Khanna, veteran IVF expert and director Ajanta Hospital & IVF Centre mentioned that IVF treatment has now reached to people who were unable to afford it earlier, courtesy new advancements in IVF being practiced at Ajanta Hospital.

She mentioned these facts while addressing the media during a TEST TUBE BABY MEET held at Leela Auditorium on hospital campus on Saturday.

Dr Gita Khanna announced the launch of HRP (High Risk pregnancy) and Women Wellness Clinic Centre at Ajanta Hospital to provide treatment to even highly complicated pregnancy cases.

Dr Gita emphasized that IVF technology has entered into a new era where infertility is treated like another diseases. Gone are the days when infertility was a taboo, when I started my career as an IVF expert. But now almost two decades down the lane, things have changed.

“Stem cell and PRP technology has added new dimensions to IVF treatment and more possibilities in treating chronic IVF patients, Dr Gita added. She said even process of freezing eggs have made the IVF treatment cost effective.

Moreover, the frozen eggs can be used for second baby too. With more convenience now patients are opting for second IVF baby at our centre. Being a multi-speciality centre we are able to manage IVF patients with multiple diseases too, even single speciality centers refer complicated cases to our centre.

The TEST TUBE BABY meet witnessed a gathering of more than 250 IVF kids and more than two dozen prominent city based gynaecologists . The day long -activity had various interactive programs, contests to make the event a memorable one.,

Dr Anil Khanna, managing director, Ajanta Hospital informed media that IVF was started at Ajanta more than two decades ago and have so far have more than 5000 IVF kids to their credit. He further claimed that patients from all over the country and abroad visit their hospital for IVF treatment and the satisfaction level of IVF patients is too high.
