Now the question is how to make delicious Modak for Bappa. By the way, there are many varieties of modak as well. The traditional modak recipe basically uses rice flour or mawa but you can give a little twist to the modak recipe. This time you can make a slight change in the taste of traditional modaks by making modaks of sago. Let's know the easy recipe of making Sabudana Modak.

Ganesh Chaturthi special MODAK:

Not much ingredients are required to make Sabudana Modak. For this, sago(Sabudana), sugar, desi ghee and cardamom powder are needed. You can also use food coloring as per your wish. Now let us know in what proportion the ingredients should be used to make Modak.

-a cup of sago

-one tablespoon ghee

-half cup sugar

-green cardamom powder

Recipe:

Wash the sago well and soak it for two to three hours. When the sago gets soaked well, take it out of the water and wash it again 3-4 times in clean water.

Heat ghee in a pan, add washed sabudana and fry it for about 6 to 8 minutes. The light color of the sago will start changing. Now add sugar to the pan and let it dissolve well. After this add green cardamom powder and keep stirring it for some time.

It may take 20 or more times to do this. After which the mixture of sago will start sticking together in the pan. Then turn off the flame and keep the mixture to cool down.

Grease the pot for making modak with ghee, after that fill the sabudana mixture in it. Similarly, make modaks with all the mixers and keep them aside for a while to dry. Delicious and easy modaks are ready for Bappa's enjoyment. Make Sabudana Modak once in the 11-day Ganesh Utsav and definitely try this recipe.
