Lucknow: A new study has revealed that the lockdown caused by covid has had a very bad effect on children. According to the study, children are facing the most eye problems. Due to this, a disease called myopia or myopia has started increasing in children.

After effect of Lockdown on Children:

The study said that due to the lockdown, children's outdoor games have ended, they have stopped going out. According to the study, children are always glued to the gadgets while staying at home.

Either they watch TV, or play games on mobile. Apart from this, they also have to study on the computer itself. This is the reason why these children have got myopia.

Disease of myopia in kids:

According to the reports, this study has been done in Hong Kong. After examining the eyes of about 1793 children, it was revealed that the disease of myopia has started increasing rapidly in children.

In the study, 700 children were included in the initial phase after the lockdown was imposed, while the rest were being monitored for the last three years. These children's ability to see was analyzed from time to time. Their lifestyle, outdoor activities and screen time were being closely monitored.

Weak eyesight:

From January to August 2020, it was found that one in five children became victims of myopia. These children used to spend most of the time at home due to the lockdown. The eyes of these children were checked several times in a year.

It found that 28 percent of the six-year-olds had myopia, while 27 percent of the five-year-olds had myopia. Apart from this, 26 percent of 8-year-olds also started battling the same disease during covid.
