New Delhi: Diabetes has become common in today's times. Some time back it used to be a genetic cause, but today a big reason is becoming a disorganized lifestyle. Under which we eat anything, anytime. In fact, when the amount of glucose in the body is high, then diabetes occurs.

This is due to Insulin deficiency. In such a situation, the diabetes patient needs to take care of food and drink very much. Keeping this in mind, we may not end diabetes, but we can definitely control it.

Let us tell you what you should not eat when you have diabetes-

Diabetes patients should not consume fruits like chiku, watermelon, mangoes, grapes, bananas, pineapples, cherries and sugarcane. Nor should fruit juice be consumed. They contain high amount of sugar ie glucose which can be dangerous for the patient of diabetes.

No Sweet:

Dry fruits should also not be consumed by a diabetic patient. Especially stay away from raisins. One should not consume sweets of any kind. You should also keep distance from chocolate. Consumption of this increases the level of glucose in the blood, which creates a risk.

Diabetes patients should also be kept away from consumption of sugar and jaggery. Neither should they be consumed directly, nor should anything be made from them.

Consumption of tea, coffee, cold drinks and sweet lassi can be dangerous for diabetics. Carbohydrates are found in large amounts in all these drinks, which can increase the level of glucose in the blood rapidly. Therefore, they should not be consumed.
