Yogi gives 'pep talk' to BJP MLAs, says stop being demanding
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday gave a 'pep talk' to the newly-elected MLAs directing them to keep away from media, be polite to officers and stop asking for accommodation and gunner.
Addressing the Ministers and legislators here, he adviced them to do away with the statements in media. '' be humble and stop cribbing about your allotment of houses and asking for the change,'' the UP CM told them sternly.
He said the responsibility to disseminate the objectives and purpose of the government schemes in the their respective constituencies lies on them. "Interact with the people of their area and make them aware about the government schemes, he added.
Exhorting them to play responsible in the light of even such a massive mandate, Yogi said it was for everyone to realise that the BJP had come to power to root out corruption.
What else Yogi directed to his ministers and MLAs?
- You must interact with officers politely.
- Do not write to me about any other government privilege like gunner or else.
- Start picking up calls from the public.
- Avoid giving any controversial statement to media.
He said opposition may have difference of opinion on various issues but they must cooperate with the government in and outside the assembly in the larger interest of public welfare.
Yogi Adityanath also congratulated Hriday Narayan Dixit on becoming the speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly and said that the assembly would be benefited by his intellect and knowledge.
